Have You Heard about Dog Wheelchair?
Wheelchair is a common product in our society, but have you heard about dog wheelchair? Wheelchairs have brought mobility to a lot of people who have leg problems or cannot walk properly since many years ago. Along the years, our society has grown and now we have sufficient technology to start considering our environment and other creatures that need our helps. Dogs are called man's best friend and there are many stories showing the strong relationship between us and them. Therefore, do not be surprised if some have developed dog wheelchairs to help our "best friends" so they can run around as other normal dogs. What is it? A dog wheelchair is not actually a chair as what people commonly used. Rather, it resembles a device that is being strapped onto a dog to support its injured or missing limbs. It has wheels so a dog can use its remaining limbs to roll around. However, this dog wheelchair only can be used if the dog still has several working limbs. If it does not have any working limb, then an owner-operated cart or a customized design device is required. Dogs in wheelchairs Many people like dogs and it is a normal thing to see someone in the park or on the sidewalk stops and pets a dog. Dogs have accompanied children around the world when they feel lonely. A dog in a wheelchair may touch our heart and the good thing is we do not have any proper conduct on how to treat a dog strapped in a wheelchair. There is no problem for us to pet the animal and perhaps give some extra affection because of its misfortune. Even if a dog has to use a dog wheelchair, it still can lead quite a normal life, especially because dogs do not have complicated rule of courtesy as human. It is unnecessary for dogs to do many activities or attend social events. Dogs have a relatively simple lifestyle and a dog wheelchair can be inserted into this lifestyle without creating much commotion. There is no mental difficulty for dogs to adjust to the equipment if we compare with human who needs to use a wheelchair for the first time. After a short period of time, you can see a dog acts as if everything is the same like before even if it is strapped onto a dog wheelchair.
